Summit on Race and Gender



So here is an image i recently shot for the report cover of a study entitled The Great Service Divide: Occupational Segregation & Inequality in the New York City Restaurant Industry. This research was conducted by The New York City Restaurant Industry Coalition & the Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York (ROC-NY). The study will be release at the 2009 New York City Summit on Race and Gender in the Restaurant Industry held at Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak Restaurant.

Everyone is invited to attend to hear about the results of our comprehensive study, The Great Service Divide: Occupational Segregation & Inequality in the New York City Restaurant Industry, which demonstrates the prevalence of racial, ethnic and gender-based inequity and barriers to advancement in the New York City Restaurant Industry, and provides best practices that can foster equality, greater opportunities for workers to support their families, and ultimately, a more profitable and productive restaurant sector.
